——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

This week, The Great British Bake Off focused on a selection of delicious desserts, so we thought we’d do the same, with the help of some amazing bloggers…

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–

The internet is a wonderful place, making thousands, if not millions of recipes available at the click of a mouse or the tap of a screen. Now, we may be biased, but we think that blogs are the best place to find recipes, as you know they’re tried and tested, photographed and loved by real people.

That’s why we’ve pulled together some of our favourite dessert recipes from the blogosphere. See which takes your fancy…

NO-BAKE LOTUS BISCOFF CHEESECAKE FROM THE LOVECATS INC

With only a few steps in the recipe and no-baking involved, not to mention the amazing photography from Helen, creator of The Lovecats Inc, this gooey cheesecake took our interest immediately.

If you’re a fan of Biscoff spread and Lotus biscuits, this will be your idea of heaven- we know it was ours.

Find the full recipe, and more drool-worthy photography on Helen’s blog: https://www.thelovecatsinc.com/2018/09/a-no-bake-lotus-biscoff-cheesecake-recipe.html

FRESH RHUBARB GALETTE WITH RHUBARB JAM FROM PROPER FOODIE

These fruit-filled, rustic galettes may take longer to make than a no-bake cheesecake, but just looking at the photos, it’s easy to see that they are completely worth it.

With fresh fruit, stewed and caramelised in a casing of golden-brown pastry, this bake is guaranteed to warm tummies up this Autumn.

THE CLASSIC CHOCOLATE CAKE FROM NELLY’S CUPCAKES

This cake, given the name: ‘Probably the most perfect (If not slightly wonky) chocolate cake in the world ever’ by Nelly’s Cupcakes, made us laugh, and made us hungry. In our opinion, the fact that it’s slightly wonky gives it chocolatey character and makes us want to make (and eat) it even more.

Is there really anything better than a three-layered chocolate cake, iced and topped with chocolate?

RED VELVET TRUFFLES FROM THE NORTHERNIST

Small treats that are easy to make and even easier to eat- The Northernist’s recipe would be perfect to follow if you’re entertaining and need something to offer that tastes and looks great.

The recipe includes white and milk chocolate, red velvet cake and soft cream cheese- what’s not to love?

To give the truffles a party twist, we suggest turning them into cake-pops by adding wooden sticks.
