Standing the test of time in both contemporary and classic styles, the trend for grey remains a core choice within a designer’s colour palette. That’s why we’re delighted to introduce three new greys to some of our most popular kitchen cabinet ranges.

Ensuring there’s something for all interior lovers in both the modern and traditional home, five of our key kitchen cabinet ranges will see new colours added to their grey palettes in January 2018.

Mornington, Mornington Beaded and Fitzroy, three of our timeless classic ‘shaker’ styles, will be complimented by Dove Grey and Graphite tones. Two of our most popular modern ‘slab’ styles, Porter and Remo, will receive a contemporary twist with a Silver Grey Matt introduction.

Pairing perfectly with almost every other colour, grey is a staple backdrop within home design. Framing bright colours or enhancing subtle hues, kitchens are the ideal setting to explore the magic of grey.

To give you a little inspiration, here are our top tips for dressing the latest neutrals with style and excitement.

The New Black

Mornington in Graphite

Graphite is the new black. As a warmer alternative, it pairs perfectly with lighter neutrals for a bold but fresh feel, without being too stark or monochrome.

Applied here to our Ash wood Mornington shaker cabinets, graphite grey can be used as a strong contrast to balance the quirkiness of mixed patterns and materials – for a clean, modern-classic look with a rustic touch.

Mornington Beaded in Dove Grey

Never been one for strong colours? Don’t worry, you can still embrace the trend by using a warm, light grey as an alternative to cream or white.

Calming and neutral, Dove Grey lends itself to the softer curves around the centre panel of our Mornington Beaded shaker cabinetry. Adding pale timbers in places is also a clever way to inject warmth and eclectic style into your kitchen, whilst still ensuring it oozes classic simplicity.

With metallic also remaining a key trend for the coming season, the high street is jam packed with accessories and furnishings to complement your kitchen. Drawing this subtle accent into a grey backdrop can add a contemporary feel to a classic look almost immediately without permanently committing yourself to the trend – think handles, toaster, even plug sockets!

Fitzroy in Graphite and Dove Grey

Accenting a feature wall with pops of colour can immediately transform the look and feel of a neutral room. Burnt or zesty oranges perfectly pair with a grey palette for a modern deco design; seen here creating three block colours alongside the Graphite and Dove Grey of our smooth Fitzroy cabinetry. Adding intricate tiling in your base grey colours is also a way of balancing your brighter blocks – tying everything together with style.

Porter in Silver Grey Matt

Silver Grey with a matt finish adds a touch of glamour with understated style. Shown in Porter, one of our most popular ‘slab’ cabinet ranges, it’s a softer alternative to modern high-gloss. Choosing pale toned floors and walls to match your doors, unites all areas in one light and airy space – and also provides the perfect backdrop to go dark and daring with your countertops and accessories.

Remo in Silver Grey Matt

Silver Grey Matt borders the pastel tones. As a gentle colour with a smooth finish, it is the perfect partner for woodgrains – especially stunning with rustic, or grey toned timber. A modern colour within our Remo range of handleless cabinets, Silver Grey Matt is a trend in itself to look out for this season.
